(2013.01) The Grand Opening of Beyondsoft Xi'an Offsite Facility for Microsoft
On January 18th, 2013, Beyondsoft Corporation celebrated the grand opening of its new technology center located in Xi’an, China. The new campus is opened in collaboration with Microsoft Corporation and will serve as a Microsoft Offsite Facility. A number of key Microsoft and Beyondsoft executives, along with high-ranking Chinese officials were present at the opening ceremony. The mood was of utmost excitement at the event. The banquet hall was buzzing with energy and excitement, as Xi’an government officials, Microsoft executives and Beyondsoft team had worked together tirelessly for several months in bringing Xi’an campus to reality.

Jun Li, Senior Vice President from Beyondsoft, who led this “2nd Tier City” initiative, said during her speech, “It is a great day as Beyondsoft and Microsoft together mark the beginning of a new era. In this era, we are going to witness a massive transformation of heartland of China toward becoming technologically advanced, and Microsoft advancing well on expanding its global leadership.”

During his speech, Microsoft executive, Jeff Pratt, General Manager of Server and Tool Business (STB), re-assured his support of this joint initiative and encouraged all parties to work together in times to come. Patrick Decker representing Microsoft Procurement unequivocally re-enforced the message.

Xi’an’s modern infrastructure, abundant talent pool coming from 49 universities in the area and low living costs, make it an ideal location for offshore technology centers for Microsoft and alike, providing long term cost efficiency and agile talent availability. Beyondsoft is working to make Xi’an one of the world’s most technologically advanced cities, and hopes that the new campus in Xi’an will continue to grow in its strategic value and becomes a key delivery and support center for its client’s such as Microsoft and others. The company has launched several new technology R&D initiatives focusing on Mobile Computing, Cloud Computing and Business Intelligence (BI).
