New IT partnership under CEPA to yield win-win results

Two IT (information technology) services providers have formed a strategic partnership under the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA) between Mainland China and Hong Kong. Beyondsoft Corporation, a leading software outsourcing service provider in China, and ETI Consulting Limited (ETIC), a total solution provider based in Hong Kong, announced that they have formed a mutually beneficial partnership to optimize their resources and achieve win-win results.

Under the partnership, the two sides would build on their complementary strengths: Beyondsoft focuses on software outsourcing services whereas ETIC focuses on e-business services and solutions. Their joint effort is expected to expand Beyondsoft's role in the industry value chain and facilitate the promotion of ETIC application solutions in Asia, particularly in Mainland China. Their collaboration would also help ETIC boost its software development with world-class software project management capabilities from Beyondsoft.

Prof Tan is the Managing Director of ETI Consulting Limited (ETIC) and the Founding Director of the E-Business Technology Institute (ETI) of the University of Hong Kong (HKU).

Prof Tan's current professional interests lie in the development of practical e-business technologies and solutions most relevant to the Greater China region.
